Green Bean Casserole
November 18, 2010

Green bean casserole is one of those dishes you expect and hope for every Thanksgiving. The Holidays would not be complete without this nostalgic comfort food. But, it's good anytime and with any meal. My version jazzes it up just a bit and makes enough for a crowd.

Ingredients:
*2 cans of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
*1 cup of whole milk
*2 teaspoons soy sauce
*¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
*8 cups cooked cut green beans
*½ cup of red bell pepper finely chopped
*2 2/3 cup French's French Fried Onions

Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, green beans and red bell pepper in a 3 quart casserole dish. Add 1 1/3 cups of the French fried onions and stir until the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
Place the casserole dish in the oven and bake uncovered for 25 minutes or until hot. Stir the mixture again.
Top with the remaining 1 1/3 cup of French fried onions. Place the dish back in the oven and bake uncovered for five minutes more.
This will make approximately 12 comforting servings for the guests at your next gathering. Suggest they wear something comfortable. They're sure to eat a lot.
